Cosmetics

At My Path we help our clients feel well inside and outside. Whereas our medical component of rejuvenation, including IV vitamin C and Iv Glutathione treatments, helps with skin complexion and erases signs of fatigue and lightens up skin, our cosmetic component supplements with wrinkle reduction/elimination.

When you smile, squint, frown, laugh, or look puzzled, you contract the muscles of your face. Over time, these movements produce permanent deep wrinkles in the skin.

We use Botox to relax the muscles in your face that cause wrinkles. Botox can erase crow’s feet, frown/worry lines, and squint lines around the eyes. Treatments are usually repeated twice per year.

What can Botox treatments do for me?

Botox cosmetic is the most popular cosmetic procedure in the country and is the most requested cosmetic procedure at My Path Medical.

We take the time to evaluate the goals of each patient. Quick, safe and effective, Botox reduces or eliminates facial lines, especially in the upper part of the face. We use very fine needles to inject Botox in the requested muscles of the face and neck. No anesthesia required, the procedure is safe and effective.

Candidates for Botox

Men and women who are considering Botox procedure should have realistic expectation of what the treatment can do. Prior to each procedure you will discuss desired results with your doctor to ensure your goals are met.

A good candidate for Botox treatment is anyone who is looking to augment their appearance by lessening/eliminating unwanted lines or wrinkles. It is also important that patients seeking treatment with Botox Cosmetic are in good physical health, do not have neuromuscular disorders and are not pregnant or nursing.

Botox Cosmetic Results

Immediately after Botox procedure, some patients may develop mild bruising, which will disappear shortly after. For our clients who are more prone to bruising, we recommend homeopathic remedy and homeopathic cream to prevent bruising from the procedure.

You will see your wrinkles begin to fade within first 24 hours after the procedure, with continued improvement over the next 5 days. The effects of Botox Cosmetic on average lasts 4 months, and at that time start to gradually fade. Patients typically repeat treatment every 5-6 months to maintain the desired effect. After several treatments the results may last longer.

Side effects of Botox

Botox has been on the market for many years. It is known that the product has ability to travel distantly and thus create side effects in unwanted areas. However, that is rare. Side effects of Botox are usually temporary and minor. The most frequent side effect of Botox is bruising at the site of injection and headaches. In rare cases, asymmetry of expression or eye drooping may occur.
